About the service
Диагностика детей
It includes a range of procedures designed to reveal everything possible about the features of a child's dental and jaw system. Diagnostics can be carried out on both baby and permanent teeth. Even a very young age is no obstacle to examining the condition of the teeth.
Dental diagnostics in children's dentistry is needed so the doctor can get to know the child in the broadest sense. After a visual examination, which can take place during an adaptation visit, hardware diagnostics are often required.
The reason is often complaints of pain or increased tooth sensitivity. Hardware diagnostics are also essential in children's dentistry when orthodontic treatment is planned (fitting braces, for example).
At the Inwhite Medical Kids clinic we use the most modern hardware methods to assess the condition of the teeth. They are completely painless and safe for children. High accuracy and speed make the examination as comfortable as possible, even for the youngest patients.
Targeted image on a Visiograph
This diagnostic method produces a clear image of a tooth and the surrounding tissues. The sensor that performs the scan is placed directly in the area being examined. This ensures a precise picture, though it does limit the scanning field.
A targeted image is a fast and informative procedure that can reveal problems and help plan treatment for both baby and permanent teeth. It is used both to diagnose disease and to monitor treatment that has already been done.
Panoramic image
This is the same kind of image but with a wider field of view. Both jaws fall within the scanning area, because the sensor rotates around the patient's head. The result is digital images showing all the teeth with their roots and the tissues around them. The scanner also captures the jawbones, the maxillary sinuses and even the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
A panoramic image makes it possible to diagnose problems with the canals (including poor-quality fillings), cysts, granulomas, gum disease, and the position of impacted (unerupted) teeth. It is essential for planning the removal of teeth that get in the way of fitting braces. And if a child suffers an injury, it is an irreplaceable aid in assessing the young patient's condition.
3D diagnostics / CBCT
When everything needs to be examined in the finest detail and a three-dimensional image of the dental and jaw system is required, a CBCT scan is ordered. With this type of scan we can analyse not only the jaws but also the facial bones, the temporal bone, the paranasal sinuses and the TMJ.
CBCT is used to diagnose inflammatory processes, including hidden ones, to plan orthodontic treatment (braces, aligners) and to determine the bite. Surgery also requires a CBCT beforehand so the doctor can plan every step as precisely as possible.
Diagnostics with the Diagnocat AI
This is an artificial-intelligence system into which all the images taken at the clinic can be uploaded. The program combines them into a single three-dimensional picture and also analyses them for signs of dental disease.
Dental diagnostics with Diagnocat can detect decay, pulpitis, cysts (including those affecting the maxillary sinuses) and unerupted teeth. For the convenience of the dentist and the parents, the report on the child's dental health is provided as a PDF file in which all the problem teeth are marked in red. The report is saved in the child's personal record and can be printed from any device.
TMJ condylography
Has your child been diagnosed with a malocclusion and is orthodontic treatment ahead? Or perhaps there are complaints about the TMJ, or bruxism (involuntary grinding or clenching of the teeth)? Then condylography is indicated. The point is that these and other issues can be linked to TMJ disorders. This study helps to identify them.
Using sensors, a special device and a program, it records how the joint works. To do this, during the condylography the child is asked to open and close their mouth and make other movements that involve the TMJ. The result is presented as graphs. Based on them, the treating doctor can prescribe therapy.
The final cost of diagnostics depends on the findings the treating doctor identifies during the child's examination.
It all starts with the dentist getting to know the child during the first, adaptation visit. Even at this stage the experienced specialists of Inwhite Medical Kids can identify a range of possible problems and assess the condition of the child's mouth.
A visual examination is carried out (assessing the bite, enamel quality, signs of decay, the condition of the gums and mucous membrane) along with talking to the child in the friendliest, sometimes playful way. The dentist may tap or touch the teeth as part of the examination. The parents are always interviewed too. They tell us about the child's diet, hygiene routine and habits. And all of this takes into account age norms and the type of bite (baby teeth, changing to permanent, or permanent). If necessary, when there are signs of inflammation or pain, a hardware examination can be carried out right during the first visit. It is completely painless and very fast.
The treating doctors and diagnosticians at Inwhite Medical Kids are skilled at working even with the youngest patients. So dental diagnostics take place without extra worry for the child and with maximum useful information for the doctor and parents.
Having all the necessary diagnostic systems right in the clinic means the examination can be done without delay — you won't have to wait in line for it. For the parents' convenience, all diagnostic results are recorded in the child's chart, so that as they grow up the development of the dental and jaw system can be tracked.
